It was especially helpful for me in thinking about energy generation and consumption in the United States (and the fact that well over half is "wasted"). Something like this would be useful for framing the conversation. - rdp

That is an interesting graphic, and I like the idea of using a graphic to frame the conversation. I'm a little afraid that that particular graphic might be a bit overwhelming, but I also think it could be simplified to get the major idea across about energy use and consumption.

The really smart people at Energyliteracy.com have also done some great work on these types of flow or spaghetti diagrams. For anyone not familar, go take a look at this website.
